Description
Semmes Murphey Clinic is committed to providing excellence in patient care through a team-based approach. The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work with other team members to provide patient services and participate in activities aimed at delivering high standards of patient and clinical care. The primary responsibilities include assisting physicians with patient care, and performing educational and administrative functions.
Work Details
The role involves clinic hours starting at 7:30am. The nurse will also visit Semmes Murphey's out clinic in Collierville, TN once a week, requiring reliable transportation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- One year of experience as an LPN
- Current State Nursing License
- Current BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- One year experience in outpatient clinics
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills, even in difficult situations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, and medical practice software
- Ability to interpret verbal orders
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge
Physical and Work Environment
The role requires physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, sit, and respond quickly to patient needs. The work environment is well-lit, ventilated, and involves exposure to blood and body fluids with moderate noise levels.
