Hummingbird Speech Inc. is a boutique speech pathology clinic for individuals from birth to adulthood with mild to severe communication challenges. We were founded by a small group of speech therapists with 15+ years of combined experience.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will:

1. Work with the Early Intervention population
2. Conduct speech-language assessments to determine eligibility for speech services
3. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
4. Provide training and education to family/caregivers
5. Carry out goals provided from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
6. Keep detailed records of client condition, care plans, therapies, and progress
7. Report client progress to appropriate parties

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
2. Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and licensure for the state of California
3. Ability to work flexible hours
4. Part-time (minimum of 5 hours per week)
5. Position is for in-home services with occasional clients that request Telehealth therapy
6. Strong organizational skills
7. Experience working with children is preferred
8. Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
9. Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial but not required
10. CFYs are welcome to apply

Pay is based on experience.

Home Health areas of service include: Bellflower, Norwalk, Artesia, Cerritos, Downey, Lakewood, Long Beach, and Torrance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 40 hours per week

Schedule:

1. 4 hour shift
2. 8 hour shift
3. After school
4. Choose your own hours
5. Day shift
6. Evening shift
7. Monday to Friday
8. Weekends as needed

Education:

1. Master's (Required)

Experience:

1. Early intervention: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

1. CCC (Required)
2. California SLP Licensure (Required)

Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)
