About The Unit
With 2 floors and 164 beds we provide care for long‑term care residents and post‑acute rehab patients. Nurse‑patient ratios vary depending on the shift and the population you will be serving. This long‑term care unit and rehab unit each floor has designated patient specialties such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries and cancer. Integrated services with a common mission: to provide goal‑oriented, compassionate care while living a healthy and active life to the greatest level possible.
About Rehab and Nursing Center – Kentridge
We are located on a 10‑acre campus. Indoor and outdoor spaces provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and confidence. Most patient rooms are private with attached bathroom, shower, TV with cable, phone, and a large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and dining space, and a menu‑based meal service is provided.
Scope of Work – Registered Nurse (RN)
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. Upholds the standards of professional performance. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Scope of Work – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Under the direction of the RN/Mid‑level Provider and in collaboration with other team members, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients and families about treatments. Documents care via the patient record.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
- Associate’s in Nursing
- State of MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved nursing program
- State of MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon hire
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- Preferred
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Healthcare experience
