SpineSearch is seeking a CNIM-certified Intraoperative Neurophysiologist to join a leading surgical monitoring team covering the Stamford area. This full-time position focuses primarily on spine and spine-related procedures, with some exposure to ENT and carotid endarterectomy (CEA) cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes.
Base pay range
$95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during spinal, ENT, and vascular (CEA) surgeries.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate monitoring equipment to record and interpret evoked potentials, EMG, and EEG activity.
- Communicate real-time data and findings to the surgical team to help guide intraoperative decisions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all monitored cases.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and patient privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with supervising neurologists and surgical staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) preferred
- Minimum of 1–2 years of intraoperative monitoring experience preferred; spine experience strongly desired
- Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and signal interpretation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment
