POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direction and education related to the overall infection control program. This includes but is not limited to surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of healthcare acquired infections (HAI); education of staff and development of policies and procedures to ensure infection control standards that meet all regulatory and accrediting body standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
BSN degree; (Master s in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or Public Healthpreferred). Current CA RN license preferred. Three to five year clinical experience in an acute care facility, or two years of experience in Infection Control. CIC Certification Highly preferred. Knowledgeable of OSHA, APIC, Title 22, CIHQ and CDC regulations and guidelines. CIC Certification or ability to complete after two years. Basic computer skills.
Will consider an LVN with current CICCertification.
