General Summary of Position

PRN - Echocardiograph Technologist to join our team, supporting patient care across four Baltimore Hospital locations. This is a PRN, weekend day shift position. The role involves traveling between multiple cardiology sites as needed. The ideal candidate will be a registered Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonographer with effective communication and problem-solving skills.

As an Echocardiograph Technologist, you will perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds to ensure high-quality patient care and service.

Primary Duties:

  1. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance programs, complete accrediting body requirements, ensure equipment and supplies are available, and maintain efficient patient scheduling.
  2. Patient Care Coordination: Review daily patient schedules, maintain logs and records accurately, and send diagnostic reports or copies as required for timely communication.
  3. Ultrasound Studies: Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies including M-mode, two-dimensional, and stress echocardiograms following ICAEL guidelines. Prepare preliminary diagnostic reports for physician review.
  4. Patient Instructions and Communication: Educate patients about procedures, recognize abnormal studies, and alert physicians immediately for abnormal findings.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree with a concentration in computer science or 1-3 years of formal job-related training.
  2. 5-7 years of post-graduation experience in echocardiology.
  3. RDCS certification in Adult Echocardiography (ARDMS-AE).
  4. CPR and ACLS certifications.

This position offers a hiring range of $34.98 - $59.26 per hour.
