Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Radiation Therapist to join our team at our City of Hope office in Sherman Oaks.
New grads are welcome to apply.
Salary: $60-$80.14 per hour, ($10,000 Sign on Bonus). Applicants will be hired into the appropriate title based on credentials and years of experience.

SCOPE: Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
  • Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.Accurately cut blocks, when applicable.
  • Accurately make custom molds.
  • Accurately complete simple mu calculations.
  • Accurately interpret a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Float to different sites (Mission Hills, Valencia, Sherman Oaks, West Hills).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
  • Radiation Therapist I: requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
  • Radiation Therapist II: requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
  • Senior Radiation Therapist: requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
