Software Engineer, Backend - Blockchain Platform (Blockchain Data Platform)

The mission is to increase economic freedom in the world by building the emerging onchain platform and a future global financial system. Our work culture is intense and not for everyone. In-person participation is required throughout the year, with team and company-wide offsites held several times annually to foster collaboration. Remote options may be available for some roles, but this position requires in-person engagement.

Role summary: We are building the fundamental Web3 infrastructure, the data layer, and an open-source data availability solution called ChainStack to ingest, index, and parse large amounts of crypto data with low latency.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide technical structure to teams and work with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques and coding standards
• Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by all engineering teams in production (e.g., dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration)
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs

What you’ll be doing (job duties)

• Learn, build, improve, and maintain cloud provisioning services written in Golang and Terraform
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using modern cloud technology and industry best practices
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership to translate product and technical vision into a quarterly roadmap
• Provide stellar internal engineering support for cloud provisioning

What we look for in you

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining backend services and infrastructure
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions

Nice to haves

• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with on-chain activity, interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with blockchain-based services

Pay transparency: The target annual salary range is $152,405—$179,300 USD, with additional target bonus, equity, and benefits. Full-time offers include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
