Job Title: Venue Network Lead Engineer

This requirement is for a lead network engineer experienced in live environment support. The person in this position would be working at different venues for a global sporting event in LA.

Key Requirements

• Contract to hire position; candidates must be authorized to work for any employer without requiring sponsorship. Salary expectation should be in the range of $110–$115K/annum plus benefits.
• Lead network engineer with experience supporting live events in venues. The engineer will be the sole point of contact in the event venue for any network‑related instances and must have strong hands‑on skills, excellent communication, and people‑management abilities.
• Non‑local candidates willing to relocate to LA on their own expense are considered.
• Preferred candidate: CCIE holder (Architects not considered).
• Routing/Switching & Segmentation: VLANs, VRFs, QoS; policy‑driven segmentation aligned with Zero‑Trust.
• Wireless: Design/optimization and operational oversight of enterprise Wi‑Fi (e.g., Cisco 9800 & 9100‑series APs).
• Experience: 8+ years in telecommunications/network operations or service management; event/venue or multi‑site environments preferred. Mix of hands‑on L2‑style field work and L3‑level coordination ideal.
• Certifications: Cisco certifications such as CCNP/CCIE strongly preferred.
• Knowledge base: IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP), wireless design, and network security principles.
• Tools: Proficiency with Catalyst Center, ThousandEyes, SIEM/XDR, ISE, Firepower; familiarity with Webex Calling.
