About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Localization Engineer to play a pivotal role in elevating the localization needs of our NinjaOne SaaS product. Having experience with both localization and engineering, this is your opportunity to build and shape NinjaOne’s localization process. Your ability to communicate complex requirements clearly will make you an essential bridge between teams, directly contributing to NinjaOne’s ongoing international success. Ensuring our software products deliver international user experiences through your contributions to all aspects of localization engineering.

You will be working directly with Engineering, Localization Specialists, external vendors, and other cross‑functional teams. Proactively address issues, contribute to bug‑fixing and build effective localization practices across the company.

Location

Remote working from home is flexible. If you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states – CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MD, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA – you are eligible. Physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL are available for a hybrid option.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Software Development Contributions: Apply engineering knowledge to streamline and support localization workflows, continuously evaluating and integrating technologies to enhance scalability and maintain translation quality. Own and enhance localization infrastructure and processes. Directly edit localization files while making codebase adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality. Extract new or updated strings, coordinating translations with internal teams and external agencies, responding to translator queries, and ensuring timely integration and quality verification of translations. Support localization QA bug reporting processes.
  • Localization Responsibilities: Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders throughout the company, with a clear focus on international customer experience. Independently identify, investigate, and resolve localization issues. Manage localization throughout each product release. Act as the main localization technical expert, ensuring clear, concise, and effective communication between Localization, Engineering, and other departments.
  • Other Duties as needed.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of working experience in an Engineering role.
  • Bilingual – exceptional verbal communication abilities in English and at least one other language is REQUIRED.
  • Proficient in Python with experience in automation scripting and software development practices.
  • Work experience in a localization‑related role is a big plus.
  • Experience with computer‑assisted translation (CAT) tools and TMS systems is highly beneficial.
  • Naturally curious, constantly staying updated on localization industry trends, new technologies, and practices.
  • Capable explaining complex technical concepts.
  • Strong collaborator who can effectively bridge diverse teams across cultures and facilitate seamless cross‑departmental cooperation.
  • Highly self‑sufficient and proactive, comfortable independently managing projects from start to finish.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment and can effectively prioritize tasks and projects.

Benefits & Compensation

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job‑related knowledge, and skills.

Base salary hiring range for this position is $65,000 to $100,000 per year for roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey or Washington. For roles based in New York, the base salary hiring range is $65,000 to $100,000 per year.
