Role Overview

We’re seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Pre‑Sales Engineer to partner with sales executives and lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle for our cutting‑edge counter‑drone technology. This role is critical for expanding the company’s footprint in Germany and CWE. The engineer will act as a trusted technical advisor, bridging the gap between complex client requirements and compelling solution design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle in partnership with the regional sales executive and channel partners.
  • Act as the trusted technical advisor for prospects, capturing operational requirements, challenges, and objectives to design compelling counter‑drone solutions.
  • Deliver persuasive technical presentations, live demonstrations, and Proof‑of‑Concepts (PoCs).
  • Execute field hardware deployment and troubleshooting of heavy equipment (up to 50 kg) in various environments, including rooftops and field sites.
  • Manage the RFPs and tender processes by writing comprehensive, detailed technical documentation and responses.
  • Build a strong, trust‑based relationship with the regional sales executive, ensuring alignment on strategy while maintaining reporting processes to central management.
  • Act in a “Pre‑Sales Plus” capacity, supporting immediate business needs such as logistics, hardware replacement, and other customer success activities when required.
  • Collect and advocate customer needs and field insights to the Product and Engineering/R&D teams.
  • Stay current with product updates, competition, and industry trends to inform sales strategy.

Requirements

  • MUST: 2+ years of experience in a Pre‑Sales Engineer or Technical Consultant role in a related high‑tech or security field.
  • MUST: Native German fluency and business‑level English proficiency is mandatory.
  • Proven hands‑on technical background and computer literacy, capable of performing basic system configuration, reviewing logs, and installing Linux services with minimal support.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast‑paced startup environment.
  • Technical and/or tactical background from military, HLS, or police (ex‑soldier in communications/computing is highly valued).
  • Physically able and willing to perform demanding, hands‑on work, including carrying and deploying up to 50 kg of field equipment.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time across Germany and CWE.
  • Experience with Electronics and Radio Communications a plus.
