Overview

The Project Coordinator directs and coordinates clinical, non‑clinical and quality improvement projects and programs for various departments and interdisciplinary groups with varying numbers of team members as assigned. The role develops project training materials, facilitates training and education to project staff, and oversees and tracks daily project operations. The coordinator serves as a liaison, maintains contact between project staff and senior level staff, coordinates work assignments, tracks progress, and responds to all requests.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate projects, programs, meetings, and conferences successfully.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to project completion.
  • Develop and edit reports, presentations, and training materials.
  • Provide related administrative support such as taking minutes, scheduling and facilitating meetings, making telephone calls, and maintaining department calendars and office supplies.
  • Coordinate event and travel planning as needed.
  • Supervise team members and track timely completion of tasks and project assignments.
  • Occasional night, weekend work and offsite travel to accommodate 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of project coordination and/or office management experience, including database management, development and production of reports and presentations, and program coordination.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, e‑mail, and calendaring.
  • Experience supervising, teaching, and working in an academic health care setting is preferred.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Associate’s Degree in Health Science, Life Science, Business, Communication, Accounting, Math, or similar discipline from an accredited program (preferred).

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Lift less than 20 lbs.
  • Prolonged sitting, repetitive motion (keyboard, mouse).
  • Strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, clear speaking, legible writing, logical thinking.
  • Fast‑pace environment, handle multiple priorities, adapt to frequent change.
