Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Addison Group is working with a retail company in search for a Sr Systems Engineer to oversee and optimize the retail technology ecosystem. Please apply to be considered.
What You’ll Do
- Take full technical ownership of inventory and RFID platforms, ensuring uptime, scalability, and data accuracy.
- Manage and enhance integrations between Clarity IMS, RFID, NetSuite ERP, POS, and 3PL/WMS systems.
- Oversee end-to-end inventory data flow, including transfers, allocations, and store transactions.
- Lead configuration, environment management, and release readiness for inventory-related systems.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to prevent sync failures or integration disruptions.
- Act as the L3 escalation point for inventory and RFID issues, coordinating with internal teams and vendors.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent repeat incidents.
- Manage production issues impacting store operations, RFID reads, or inventory reconciliation.
- Develop documentation, runbooks, and playbooks to streamline recovery and maintain continuity.
- Maintain and improve API and middleware integrations across the retail tech stack.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure data consistency and integration reliability.
- Define standards for observability, logging, error handling, and synchronization.
- Drive automation of manual inventory processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to enhance workflows and visibility.
- Partner with Product and Business teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in architecture reviews and roadmap planning.
- Mentor analysts and support engineers to strengthen technical troubleshooting capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in retail systems with strong expertise in inventory management and RFID.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP, Clarity IMS, and RFID technologies.
- Solid background in system integrations, API management, and data synchronization across POS, ERP, and IMS.
- Familiarity with middleware tools (Celigo, Boomi, Mulesoft) and observability frameworks.
- Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proven track record managing incidents and system changes in a live retail environment.
