Overview

The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead acts as the in‑store expert for their business/department, ensuring the best service for customers while guiding teammates.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in‑store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people‑first culture by connecting with every teammate to build trust, respect, and strengthen store recognition.
  • Plans and organizes 30‑day staffing with the Assistant Store Manager, aligning workforce to daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
  • Strategically leverages teammates to meet brand standards and deliver daily programs and processes.
  • Upholds merchandising and presentation standards via floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory, and replenishment.
  • Assists store leadership with general supervision per company policies and procedures.
  • Trains teammates on company procedures, onboarding new teammates, and cross‑training existing teammates.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands‑on coaching and explaining the "why" behind tasks.
  • Leads by example to align teammates with organizational goals and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Creates an inclusive environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
  • Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and operating procedures while maintaining confidentiality of company information.
  • Supports the team across the store with an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.

Qualifications

  • Flexible availability – nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales experience (or customer‑focused experience) preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15–35 lbs repeatedly (up to 25 times per hour).
  • Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
  • Ability to work at heights >4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).
