Description
Perform clerical duties, order and data entry utilizing multiple computer systems. Effectively communicate and facilitate all departmental orders and results to ED staff. Serve as front-line departmental ambassador in customer service. Maintain a professional demeanor with internal and external personnel. Work in conjunction with the ED team to expedite patient care and throughput and provide excellent quality care in a family‑oriented hospital setting. Estimated pay range is $16.28 - $19.70/hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training (Cert, Trn, Exper.)
- Basic Life Support certification
Additional Qualifications
- Previous experience as a unit secretary/administrative partner desired.
- Completion of a medical terminology course or previous experience in admitting/emergency or physician office (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, peer respect, critical thinking, self‑motivation, and customer service orientation.
- Flexibility in scheduling to adapt to special circumstances and ability to multitask.
- Boca/Bethesda only: BLS certification obtained within 6 months for employees hired prior to 4/30/2023.
Minimum required experience: No experience required.
