Job Overview

USD invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Health Sciences. The Dean reports to Dr. Tim Ridgway, MD, Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean of the Sanford School of Medicine.

The role provides strategic and administrative leadership for the academic, research, and public service missions of the School of Health Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and administrative leadership for the academic, research, and public service missions of the School of Health Sciences.
• Oversee baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs across multiple campuses (Vermillion, Sioux Falls, Sanford School of Medicine).
• Collaborate with affiliated centers such as the Interprofessional Health Education Center, the Center for the Prevention of Child Maltreatment, and the South Dakota Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program.
• Support the ongoing development of the 45,000 square‑foot Center for Health Education, including simulation centers and community clinics.
