Overview
The Field Application Scientist - Clinical is responsible for working on-site with customers to develop new methods, deploy high level seminars, and provide technical expertise while effectively positioning Phenomenex’s products. This role will also work cross functionally with Marketing to create technical content and R&D to help drive product innovation by testing new products in-house using knowledge of customer processes and procedures. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Technical Support and Applications and is part of the Technical Support and Applications team located in North America and Europe and will be working remotely to cover North America.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate customer visits to initiate application support, method development, product demonstration and/or technical training seminars.
- Collaborate with and support commercial team to achieve sales targets through key account growth by building relationships beyond the buying level with key decision makers.
- Manage customer troubleshooting cases, providing support via email, phone, and onsite.
- Perform application development and create marketing content to be deployed globally.
- Test newly developed products in-house simulating customer conditions to gain real world feedback in preparation of launch.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or other related Science required
- Advanced knowledge of Chromatography (minimum 5 years laboratory experience)
- HPLC/GC/SPE method development experience, including mass spectrometry, in an end user laboratory
- Troubleshooting chromatography methods experience
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally based on the needs of the business 60% of the time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

The annual salary range is $115,000.00 to 130,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
