Position: Faculty Member - Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track
The Center for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases is seeking a faculty member at the assistant professor level on the tenure-accruing track. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary research environment focused on the mechanisms of disease linked to amyloid-forming proteins.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in the biochemistry of protein folding.
- Deep knowledge of using iPSC-derived neurons for high throughput genetic screening, particularly related to tau protein pathology.
Additional Information:
- Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
- Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
- This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
