Schwab is uniquely positioned to derive competitive advantage from the use of generative artificial intelligence ("GenAI") to enhance experiences for reps and clients. We envision a future where GenAI is woven into the fabric of how we do business, empowering our human talent and facilitating client interactions. Given the scale of this opportunity, the Retail business has stood up a Retail GenAI business function to coordinate GenAI efforts to maximize the value of our investments, support execution to drive efficient delivery of capabilities, and partner on change management efforts to drive engagement and adoption across the business. This role will report to the Director of Retail GenAI and will be a part of Charles Schwab's Retail Strategy team which is the internal management consulting group for the Retail business. The Retail business is Schwab’s primary business unit with 13,000 employees worldwide. Our team of roughly 15 professionals serves as a trusted adviser to the head of the Retail business and the Retail Leadership Team and works on strategic and operational issues at the top of senior management's agenda.

What You Are Good At

  • Structured problem solving: Bring order to an ambiguous problem, breaking it down into key components and providing a framework that helps focus our thoughts and energy on what matters most.
  • Analysis / decision support: Identify key pieces of information that we must know to make a decision and find answers or identify partners to get those answers, including quantitative analysis.
  • Storytelling and executive communication: Communicate a strategy through executive‑level PowerPoint materials, tailoring your message to the audience and telling a compelling story to drive desired outcomes.
  • Sequencing work into a series of steps: Identify where we are on a body of work, our desired destination, and the steps or actions to take to reach that destination.
  • Planning and executing large & complex projects: Identify a set of workstreams and deliverables necessary to execute on an overall objective; organize these into an overall program structure with timelines, stakeholders, governance, and facilitate execution.
  • Attention to detail: Maintain a strong system for tracking next steps and open questions, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks; utilize quality‑checking processes and intuition for information that “seems off.”
  • Adapting: Adjust quickly to unexpected changes in priorities.
  • Learning: Rapidly ascend the learning curve on new or unfamiliar topics and enjoy learning new skills or knowledge.
