Job Description

Your Role at Raising Cane’s: The Assistant Restaurant Leader is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in day-to-day operations of the restaurant and upholding Raising Cane’s standards and culture in all areas of restaurant operations.

The work environment includes a fast-paced kitchen, extended physical activity, interaction with customers, indoor/outdoor work, varied temperatures, and use of personal protective equipment where applicable.

Your Impact And Responsibilities

Purpose of the position

  • Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers
  • Owns onboarding, status changes and payroll for all hourly crewmembers
  • Creates crewmember work and training schedules
  • Manages performance of hourly crewmembers (development, coaching, documentation, other performance tasks)
  • Acts as manager on duty and opens/closes the restaurant
  • Manages cash handling and ensures accountability

General To The Role

  • Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
  • Executes shift management meetings and safety standards
  • Uses tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action
  • Deploys crewmembers during a shift
  • Provides exemplary customer service
  • Uses reward and recognition programs for crewmembers
  • Authorizes manager-approved functions (discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides, etc.)
  • Ensures cleanliness and good working order of the facility
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple changing priorities
  • Self-driven, flexible, energetic with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to analyze problems, set goals, create and execute action plans
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Willing to work various shifts including days, evenings and weekends; travel as needed
  • 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • New restaurant opening experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
