Regulatory Scientist - Raw Materials

12 month + contract

On-site in Clark, NJ

Responsibilities

  • Brand Integration Support: Play a key role in the seamless integration of raw materials from newly acquired brands into the existing portfolio, ensuring alignment with our global standards.
  • Supplier Engagement: Proactively engage with raw material suppliers and/or third-party subcontractors via internal applications or email to meticulously gather essential raw material dossiers for comprehensive review by our safety, regulatory, and quality teams.
  • Database Analysis & Verification: Conduct thorough analysis of information within databases to ascertain whether stakeholder requests for raw material data are already available, optimizing efficiency and preventing duplication of efforts.
  • Documentation Evaluation: Critically evaluate all documentation and data obtained from raw material suppliers and/or third-party subcontractors to confirm that all required information is accurately and comprehensively represented.
  • Data Accuracy Cross-Verification: Perform rigorous cross-referencing across various internal and external databases to meticulously verify the accuracy and consistency of all provided information.
  • Project Tracking & Reporting: Independently and efficiently track the progress of all assigned tasks and projects, providing regular, concise updates and constructive feedback to the project manager.
  • Data Management & Upload: Ensure all relevant documentation and data are accurately and promptly uploaded into designated databases, maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our information systems.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference for a science-related academic background (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field).
  • Experience: Previous experience within the Cosmetics industry or in a Cosmetic Regulatory role is highly preferred.
