Postdoctoral Fellow, Quality Use of Medicines (QUM)

Join a nationally recognised research team focused on improving the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) and contribute to impactful health outcomes across clinical, academic and policy sectors.

Role will be based at the new state-of-the-art Health Translation Hub working with academics across the School of Health Sciences, School of Clinical Medicine, and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate research activities to high scientific and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the development of research questions and study designs.
  • Undertake literature reviews and data analysis using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
  • Prepare peer‑reviewed publications, reports, and conference presentations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing research grant proposals and ethics submissions.
  • Support knowledge translation and dissemination of findings.

Skills And Experience

  • A PhD in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, public health, or a related discipline.
  • Experience conducting systematic reviews and health‑related research using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including academic writing.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, SAS, Stata).
  • Understanding of ethical and governance requirements in health research.
  • Experience contributing to research funding applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
