Posting Summary
The Division of Pulmonary Medicine and Cystic Fibrosis Center is seeking a junior to mid‑level faculty member with a strong clinical, teaching and research profile. The position will be based at the Bristol‑Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH), the only pediatric academic health campus in New Jersey, and will involve both ambulatory and inpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care, including bronchoscopies, to pediatric patients in the Cystic Fibrosis Center, sleep disorders program, technology‑dependent center, and outpatient clinics.
- Develop a robust teaching program for medical students, residents and fellows in pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine.
- Lead and mentor clinical and academic trainees.
- Initiate and supervise research projects, including securing startup grant funding.
- Collaborate with basic scientists on mechanisms of disease, novel therapies, and outcomes research.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school.
- Completion of formal specialty training in pediatric pulmonology; training in sleep medicine is an asset.
- Board certified in Pediatrics with board eligibility in pulmonary medicine and/or sleep medicine.
- Experience in ambulatory and inpatient pulmonary care, including bronchoscopies.
- Demonstrated research interest with ability to secure external funding.
