    Responsibilities

    Maintains and manages the compliance the Life, Health, Safety and Environmental program for the Armed Forces Recreation Center encompassing responsibility for, but not limited to, Fire rated doors, flues, trash/linen shoots, kitchen hoods, egress, fire pumps (FAFS related items), environmental STS, equipment inspections. As program manager will ensure all necessary compliance/certifications are in place (i.e. lifts, elevators, compactors, etc.). The management, administration, or operation of the program includes development, implementation, and evaluation of related functions. The primary objective of the work is the elimination or minimization of human injury and property and productivity losses, caused by harmful contact incidents, through the design of effective practices. Safety and occupational health management work requires application of the knowledge of: Mechanical, Electrical, HVAR, life safety systems and various facility related systems.

    Qualifications
    QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.

    - A minimum of 5 years of extensive knowledge and work experience in the maintenance of facilities operations that was obtained within the last 10 years.

    All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks.
    All answers to the Highly Qualifying Criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit.


    - A four year baccalaureate degree in a field of facilities management is preferred.
    - STS Construction Certification or certified environmental and safety compliance officer certification.
