Job Details:

• Advanced level respiratory care for patients in NICU, PICU, and other critical care areas

• Administer airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy

• Perform respiratory care procedures including aerosol medication delivery, bedside pulmonary function testing, and arterial punctures

• Provide complete airway management including tracheostomy care, tube changes, and intubations

• May work with Carolina Air Care transporting pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals

• Perform advanced practice procedures including UAC, UVC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, and needle decompression

• May manage ECMO (Extracorporeal circulation) for cardiac and respiratory support

• Handle all aspects of ventilator care including setup, specialized modes, patient monitoring, and weaning

• May be required to work on-call days, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Function independently with minimal supervision and serve as resource to other staff

• Temp to perm position with local candidates reviewed first

• Two years of respiratory therapy experience required

• Must hold current RRT certification by NBRC

• Required certifications include ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT, or advanced practice certificate for moderate sedation

• Must be graduate of accredited Respiratory Therapy program
