- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Intermediate/Critical Care
- Facility Size: 25 beds (ICU: 4 beds)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- End Date: March 15, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990 - $2130
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required
- Orientation: 2-3 days
ICU RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Maine or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification preferred (can be obtained if not currently held)
- Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems preferred
- Ability to float to Med-Surg units as needed
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to intermediate/critical care and Med-Surg overflow patients (respiratory, cardiac, sepsis, COVID, diabetic, adult/geriatric, and occasional pediatric patients)
- Manage IV drips, IV pumps, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and blood transfusions
- Perform ICU procedures: starting IVs, venipuncture, EKGs, infusions, phlebotomy, patient transports, and weaning protocols
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists and ancillary healthcare staff
- Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR
- Follow hospital dress code: any color scrubs, clean closed-toe shoes, minimal jewelry, neat hair/beard, no artificial/acrylic nails
- Participate in team and primary nursing care models
