Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work under supervision of unit Supervisor/Manager/Director

• Deliver patient care through nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

• Every other weekend schedule required

• No on-call responsibilities

• 2+ years of ICU experience required

• Experience floating to PCU/Med Surg/Tele units required

• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

• Michigan nursing license required

• Complete physical, psychological, and social assessments within designated timeframes

• Formulate and implement written care plans within 24 hours of admission

• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families

• Promote patient independence through education and self-care skill development

• Adhere to infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations

• Document and communicate patient actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

• Utilize leadership skills through delegation and team member evaluation

• Recognize changes in patient status and provide appropriate interventions

• Prioritize care based on individual patient needs with strong focus on patient education

• Participate in continuing education and attend minimum of eight monthly staff meetings annually

• Must provide work history, current skills checklist, and 2 supervisory references
