CVICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Greenwood, SC 29646 – Southern hospitality, outdoor recreation, and local amenities
  
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
  
• Unit: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) / CVICU
  
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
  
• Duration: 13 weeks
  
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
  
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
  
• Weekend Coverage: Required
  
• Float: May float to ICU or other critical care units as needed
  
• Orientation: 12 hours
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,840 - $1,890
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid at time of submission)
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience
  
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)
  
• Previous travel nursing experience required
  
• EPIC electronic charting experience preferred
  
• Ability to provide two supervisory RN references
  
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  
• Must comply with 50-mile radius rule for local candidates
  

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex cardiac and post-surgical conditions
  
• Monitor and manage advanced cardiovascular equipment (Impella, IABP, Swan Ganz catheters, LVAD/RVAD, Baxter CVVHD machines)
  
• Assist with cardiac procedures: chest tube insertion, pacemaker management, post-cardiac surgery care
  
• Interpret arterial blood gases, manage dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
  
• Administer blood products, IV insulin protocols, and continuous IV sedation
  
• Implement infection prevention and isolation protocols
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, etc.)
  
• Float to other critical care units within the hospital as needed
