Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a multi-registered Ultrasound Technologist for a night shift position requiring ARDMS certification and experience in at least two modalities.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital ultrasound department focused on general sonography and vascular studies
- Third shift schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM, four 9-hour shifts per week
- Patient population and types of cases include abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular sonography
- Candidates should have experience in at least two ultrasound modalities
- Wine-colored scrubs required
- Responsibilities include performing ultrasound imaging examinations in multiple modalities and collaborating with the healthcare team
- Locals within a 30-mile radius may be considered for radiology roles
- Up to 24 hours of online modules required for orientation, self-reported to manager
- No more than 14 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
- References are not required for consideration
Requirements
- Associate degree in Allied Health or graduation from an accredited ultrasound program
- Minimum of two ARDMS-approved registries in practiced specialties such as Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular Technology (required), Echo, Musculoskeletal, Neurosonology, or Breast
- Vascular Technology registry is required; Echo registry is preferred for third shift but not mandatory
- Active membership in ARDMS or ARRT in Ultrasound required
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- License required if applicable
- No prior license action accepted
