Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
- Location: Englewood, CO 80113 (Denver Metro Area)
- Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – 10th Floor
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- End Date: March 23, 2026
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7P - 7A)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Number of Positions: 2
- Setting: On-Site, Hospital-Based
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Colorado or compact state
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac stepdown or PCU nursing experience
- Proficiency with cardiac drips (heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, ketamine)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and high energy
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown/PCU patients in a 20-bed unit
- Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac conditions and telemetry
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips and critical care medications
- Assist with procedures: chest tube placement/removal, pacer wire removal, 12-lead EKGs
- Collaborate with RNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Utilize clinical equipment: telemetry monitors, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, SCD pumps
- Document patient care in Meditech EMR system
