Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week (48 hours available upon request)

• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required

• Every other holiday rotation required

• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh campus (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson (KY, 11 miles)

• 2-hour notice given for cross campus float; mid-shift float possible within same campus

• No on-call or callback requirements

• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS

• Minimum 2 years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required

• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class

• Must pass telemetry tests and demonstrate strong EKG interpretation skills

• Patient ratio: Night shift 1:5-7 patients

• Care for high acuity telemetry/medical-surgical patients with cardiac focus including Afib with RVR, heart blocks, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-ablation patients

• Required skills: 12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips, PIV insertion, chest tube management, CBI, and nephrostomy tube care

• Must demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills

• Scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos

• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment

• Associate degree or certificate required

• 40-mile radius local candidate restriction applies
