Marketing Manager

Deloitte's Marketing team is seeking a marketing manager to be part of our Marketing Delivery team. As an integral member of a high performing national team, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with other team members and leading execution on regionally driven programs, events and local initiatives for your primary focus, which is the BC market.

This position is based in Vancouver




  • Serve as a trusted and strategic advisor and work with the BC leaders to lead and execute a full complement of marketing initiatives to drive growth and enhance market positioning
  • Execute go to market campaigns to support market expansion, revenue opportunity generation and brand visibility through thought leadership and impactful in-market activations
  • Manage major marketing initiatives, including multifaceted campaigns and eminence-building programs, which requires collaboration with the broader Marketing team in areas such as direct, online, media and design
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients and community partners
  • Track, monitor and report ROI on all major marketing activities/campaigns, including but not limited to revenue opportunity generation within total cost to firm, cost of sale and cost per contact parameters
  • Collaborate/coordinate with appropriate resources, including subject matter specialists, service area leaders, client service professionals and account developers, marketing and communications personnel, knowledge managers, and various shared services, to execute and/or leverage integrated marketing programs
  • Develop and manage budgets
  • Support leaders and team members with business and marketing planning
  • Contribute to local and national marketing leadership and management peer network


External Posting Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required, with a focus in marketing strategy, communications, business development, program planning and execution, or similar
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of prior relevant experience, preferably in a professional services or business-to-business marketing and communications environment 
  • Demonstrated skills as a team player by leading through trust and professional respect, including demonstrated evidence of strong leadership and people coaching
  • Successful performance in a matrix environment 
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills 
  • Strong budget management skills and flexibility to work with evolving priorities and approaches.
  • Strong project management skills. Must be detail oriented, organized and able to juggle multiple tasks,timelines, points of view and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity, take initiative and be self-motivated to complete projects independently with appropriate direction/feedback 
  • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence; a professional client-service manner 
  • Experience in developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies that are aligned to business strategy 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, learning and growth
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strategic relationship building
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization and across channels.
  • Social media experience is an asset
  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to leverage national content at a regional level as well as develop, share and adopt innovative approaches and best practices, present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions 
  • Familiarity with demand generation, lead tracking, ROI 
  • Comfort with and demonstrated ability for public speaking,pitching concepts/frameworks and reporting results
  • A commitment to flexible work hours and willingness to travel occasionally
  • Experience dealing with a multi-office, both regionally, national and international, rwould be an asset
  • Experience in retail, financial services and strategic campaign development
  • Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
