Operations Developer

An Operations Developer of the Solutions Team supports Customer Satisfaction by developing utilities that improve the efficiency and production of their workflows.  This team engages stakeholders frequently to identify solutions to pain points in their current workflow and follows SAFe principles to prioritize these requests.  While assisting Customer Satisfaction, the Solutions Team is involved in high priority technical efforts for the company. This can be for onboarding new technologies that Customer Satisfaction has acquired, providing metrics & reporting, or working with the ARTS to reach a business critical goal.


  • Follow SAFe principles and participate in SAFe ceremonies.
    • Active participant in PIP, Iteration Planning and Iteration Retrospectives.
    • Follows SAFe best practices when sizing features and User Stories, keeping Rally up to date throughout the Program Increment.
  • Engage with stakeholders to refine requirements and acceptance criteria for Features committed to in the current and future iterations.
    • Provides UAT testing to stakeholders once acceptance criteria is met while encouraging transparency throughout the development process.
    • Identify ways to make utilities more successful and self-service as they are developed and communicate these options with stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in Team swarms to assist team members overcome technical obstacles by reviewing the challenge and providing guidance based on experience.
  • Pair program and cross train with team members to prevent towers of knowledge being present within the team.
  • Consistently provide demonstrations on new tools or enhancements to team members and stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years work experience in a business or technical environment.
  • 1-2 years development knowledge
  • Preference for:  SQL, PHP, JavaScript, Python, HTML &CSS
  • 1-2 years of experience with EBSCO's products and customers


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years Customer Satisfaction/Support experience
  • 2-3+ years Development Experience
  • 2+ years project management experience
