Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for the International Monetary Fund, a large high profile account located in Washington, DC!  The current food landscape consist of 2 corporate cafes, 2 coffee bistros, a full service ala cart restaurant, 2 micro market carts and catering operations. 

 

The Executive Chef 2 will report to the Sr. Executive Chef and oversee the culinary operation for the largest cafe on site.   Duties to include but not limited to: menu planning, ordering, inventory, and some catering.  This is an opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment. This Executive Chef 2 will also support other unit operations when needed.

 

The best qualified Executive Chef 2 candidate will have exceptional communication skills, an eye for high end restaurant quality food, strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and a high level of organization. A strong focus in customer service, culinary expertise and attention to detail are key in our selection process.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.  Key Duties- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.  - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.- Manages catering & retail areas.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.-  Manages food & physical safety programs.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree  Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.Sodexo is an EEO/AA/Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
