The Global Talent Consultant - Performance, Employee Experience & Engagement oversees the strategy, design, improvement and implementation of key initiatives globally and acts as the global subject matter expert and leading thinker / strategist around the identified topics (i.e. Performance, Employee Experience and Engagement) in line with identified Talent Vision and strategy in CommScope. In addition the Global Talent Consultant acts as an internal consultant to the organization, delivering high-value solutions to the business within the broad scope of Talent Management & Organizational design organization.  This position sits in our global headquarters in Hickory, NC though other primary CommScope locations may be considered.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing and ensuring implementation, along with the necessary communication and change management initiatives (including training and staff development), with a particular focus on the strategic approach to performance and development in the organization, build-out of a global employee experience framework as well as further driving the engagement philosophy and process (incl vendor selection and full implementation); finally has accountability for the effectiveness of programs and processes designed based on a successful implementation.
  • Serves as an internal consultant towards the HR and business organization, delivering high value and tailor-made solutions to our customer base, with knowledge and expertise in Talent Management, Change Management ,organizational design and Learning and Development core tools and processes.
  • Provides consultation and coaching to department heads regarding HR and business issues from a strategic standpoint to include coaching on effectively leading their teams, managing talent development programs or defining correct people strategies in line with business priority. Makes recommendations to meet department needs and mitigate any potential risk.
  • This imaginative, strategic, and critical thinker is responsible for designing and delivering a long term and strategic roadmap around their subject matters, along with a practical ability to then translate this into an implementable roadmap, mobilizing the organization around a common direction and vision through tangible process implementation coupled with strong project management, adoption techniques, communication and training.
  • Plays an active role in defining and influencing strategic HR priorities in the company on an ad-hoc basis (culture initiatives, change initiatives, OD related activities, facilitation of core leadership interventions)
  • Own and/or assist with communication design, messaging, and timeline management for internal projects, crafting and publishing a wide variety of materials such as presentations, email messages, web content, newsletters, etc.
  • Part of a core global team of Talent managers who share a mission and vision of building strategic HR initiatives in close collaboration with HR and business to further the business performance of CommScope as a whole.

 

Education & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Work Psychology or a related curriculum and 3+ years of related experience.
  • As an individual contributor, the Talent Manager must possess a diverse set of skills ranging from behavioral and data analysis to practical project management. The Performance Manager must possess strong emotional intelligence with the ability to translate concepts and principals into practical steps and must exemplify the culture of the organization.
  • The Talent Consultant must be able to display a broad range of experience and/or knowledge around Change & OD, L&D and Talent Management related solutions, tools, training and certifications,
  • Internal consultancy skills require a very broad base of theoretical knowledge combined with a practical sense, communication skills, structured project management experience along with an ability to interact and deal in a customer-focused way with internal and external customers up to and including C-level interactions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the theories and principles of adult learning and organizational development including performance and change management, employee engagement and leadership development.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the broader business implications of decision.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability.
  • Demonstrates an ability to consult with and influence leaders regarding workforce planning activities.
