Overview
Our client is a modern, progressive top-tier Legal 500 law firm that supports and prides itself on developing the lawyers who join them. They have grown substantially over the last 10 years to a turnover of £9m with over 50 fee earners and are now a Top 200 UK law firm with a strong business plan for further growth, aiming to double in size in the next five years.
They now wish to add a Solicitor or Legal Executive to their Court of Protection team. The Private Client team is seeking an experienced COP Lawyer with a minimum of 1 year PQE.
Responsibilities
- Running of files and working with the Deputy in dealing with the Court of Protection, the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG), the individual and their family to establish long-term relationships and ensure decisions are made in the individual’s best interests.
- Preparation of general Court Applications.
- Preparation of Statutory Will Applications.
- Represent the Deputy at Court of Protection hearings.
- Investigate suspicions of financial abuse.
- Estate administration.
Qualifications
Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 1 year PQE in Court of Protection or Private Client work, with experience handling complex, high-value estates.
