Role Overview
Corporate Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations and accounting processes of five Aethos entities (CH, IT, ES, PT, DE, UK), ensuring timely, accurate, and standardised reporting. This includes setup of new entities, bank accounts, payroll and other key items. The role works closely with third‑party mandated accounting firms, internal stakeholders and the leadership team to maintain high‑quality financial systems, streamline processes and support decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi‑Entity Accounting Oversight – oversee bookkeeping, financial records and statutory accounting for the local Aethos corporate legal entities; coordinate with third‑party accounting firms to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of reports; review monthly financial statements, reconciliations and journal entries.
- Standardisation & Process Improvement – develop and enforce standardised accounting policies, processes and reporting formats across all entities; identify operational gaps and implement process improvements; develop and maintain internal control framework.
- Financial Operations Management – Accounts Payable: oversee invoice processing, supplier onboarding, approval workflows and payment cycles; Accounts Receivable: manage customer/hotel billing, invoicing, tracking receivables, reconciling client accounts; payroll, accruals, treasury, cash flow forecasting; financing & fundraising support.
- Reporting & Analysis – prepare timely monthly management accounts, variance analysis and consolidated summaries; support budgeting and forecasting; rolling 12‑month liquidity planning; maintain financial dashboards.
- Audit – manage statutory financial accounting and audit processes for applicable corporate entities; ensure timely completion of audits, meetings, disclosures, ESOP.
- Supplier & Contract Oversight – maintain records of supplier contracts, support negotiation.
- Other – support ad‑hoc items related to Aethos.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (ACCA/CPA/CIMA preferred).
- 5+ years relevant accounting or finance experience, ideally in a multi‑entity or group environment; experience with outsourced accounting firms or shared services.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls.
- Advanced Excel proficiency; ERP or accounting software experience preferred.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
