Executive Search Specialist | Risk Management & Finance (US & UK Markets)
Financial Controller – Mergers & Acquisitions | London, Glasgow or Edinburgh
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with deep M&A expertise to lead the financial oversight of high-impact transactions and integrations across a growing professional services group.
Key requirements:
- Big 4 background with significant M&A experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / equivalent)
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead finance teams
- Either based in London, Glasgow, or Edinburgh
The role:
- Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration planning for acquisitions
- Partner with CFO and senior leadership on deal strategy, funding, and post-acquisition reviews
- Prepare Board-level reporting, financial modelling, and scenario analysis
- Own month-end and reporting processes for newly acquired entities until BAU transition
- Support broader strategic projects and exit planning initiatives
