Job Description
Freelance bookkeeper required for an art gallery in central London to work with a small team one day a week on a flexible basis.
Knowledge of Xero, Artlogic, the margin scheme, and temporary admission is an advantage.
Job Requirements
- Experience in the art world
- Experience with Xero and Artlogic
- Understanding of import/export regulations
- Knowledge of the margin scheme and temporary import procedures
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and account reconciliation using Xero software
- Oversee accounts payable – processing incoming invoices, setting up BACS runs, authorizing payments
- Oversee accounts receivable, generate sales invoices, monitor and process incoming multi-currency payments
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Manage management accounts and cash flow
- Oversee annual audit and year-end financial reporting
