With significant growth across our Water Catchment Management business, we’re looking for talented Hydraulic Water Modellers to join our UK‑based teams and support major frameworks with leading water companies.

Remit and Responsibilities

  • Hydraulic modelling using industry standard software (Flood Modeller, Tuflow, InfoWorks, HEC‑RAS) for model development, calibration, interpretation, and interrogation of 1D and 1D/2D models.
  • Analysing, managing, and interpreting data using GIS software (ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS) and analytical tools (R and Python).
  • Contributing innovative ideas, challenging the norm, and helping deliver better solutions for our clients.
  • Collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver client outcomes.
  • Writing, developing and reviewing complex technical reports.
  • Supporting a supportive team environment with mentoring and professional development.
  • Peer reviewing and checking of calculations and technical deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree/MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Desire to achieve or already chartered status with an appropriate Professional Body (preferably ICE or CIWEM).
  • Experience in implementing 1D and 2D modelling techniques for river, urban and coastal flooding applications.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with industry‑standard software (Flood Modeller, Tuflow, InfoWorks ICM, HEC‑RAS).
  • Experience in technical assurance of modelling outputs.
  • Demonstrable experience of hydrological calculations.
  • Ability to mentor colleagues and support their professional development.
