EMEA Tax Manager – Amentum

Overview

The Manager, EMEA Tax reports to the Director, EMEA Tax. You will assist with UK and EMEA tax compliance and provision matters, play a key role in expanding our best‑in‑class tax function, and thrive in a highly dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation of all required corporate income tax returns and related workpapers in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Oversee preparation of all required VAT tax returns in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Assist with quarterly and year‑end tax provision work, including local country and global US GAAP financial statements.
  • Calculate and pay corporate income tax and VAT, and perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Support US and European input into the US and Global Consolidated tax provision process.
  • Work closely with Finance/Accounting teams on statutory financial statement filings and audit.
  • Manage Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and SOX compliance and procedures.
  • Understand and monitor systems requirements related to income tax and VAT; manage changes.
  • Assist with Amentum UK’s Research and Expenditure Credit.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Business Development, Contracts, and the US‑based tax team to provide tax support to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified.
  • Multiple years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or multinational company.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and internal/external deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and dependable team player with strong attention to detail.
