An established manufacturing group is seeking a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accountant to work closely with operational and finance teams across multiple locations, playing a key role in enhancing financial controls, operational performance, and reporting quality.
This is a broad, hands‑on position ideal for a manufacturing accountant with strong experience in costing, inventory management, budgeting, and financial controls. As part of the leadership team, you’ll collaborate regularly with operational managers and act as a strategic finance partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting processes, internal reporting, and month‑end accuracy, working closely with group finance and supply chain teams.
- Act as finance partner to the operational managers and teams, monitoring risks and providing clear financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate costing and inventory data, overseeing inventory controls and cycle counts.
- Support capital planning, fixed‑asset management, and UK transactional finance activities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles and prepare internal financial and operational statements.
- Review job orders, monthly results, variances, and trends, highlighting insights and recommending practical actions.
What We’re Looking For
- Manufacturing sector experience.
- Strong background in product costing, cost maintenance, and inventory controls.
- Experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
