We’re working with a well-established firm in the South East that is looking for a capable Accounting Technician to join their growing team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work with a diverse client base across accounting, tax, and VAT, while also developing your mentoring and technical skills.
Role responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Assisting with VAT compliance and advising clients on relevant issues
- Managing your own portfolio and building strong client relationships
- Coaching and supporting junior team members
- Developing your skills in cloud accounting platforms, including Xero
What we’re looking for:
- AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
- Strong experience in accounts preparation within practice
- Solid understanding of UK tax compliance
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable using Excel, Word, and cloud-based tools
