The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3-8 PQE solicitor to join the highly regarded Banking and Finance team of a leading international law firm in Manchester. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters, with a particular focus on corporate/leverage finance, real estate finance, and infrastructure finance.
As an Associate in this dynamic banking and finance team, you will:
- Work alongside senior lawyers and clients on high profile transactions involving private equity sponsors, banks, corporates, and funds.
- Be involved in cross-border matters and represent clients in complex financing transactions.
- Deal with UK and international financial institutions, private equity houses, funds, and corporates.
- Act in opposition to Magic Circle and large US law firms on significant and challenging cases.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 3 to 8 years' PQE with experience in banking and finance law, including corporate finance, real estate finance, and infrastructure finance.
- A strong academic background.
- Excellent technical skills and a practical approach to applying legal knowledge.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage and progress matters independently, whilst being an effective team player.
- A proactive attitude to business development, with experience in client-facing work.
