Telemetry RN Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 14, 2025
- Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (Unit 4N)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-call: None
- Holiday Coverage: Required to work either Christmas Eve/Day and New Year's Eve/Day, per unit needs
- Floating: Float to all acute care units as needed
- Orientation: Comprehensive orientation with Epic EMR training
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1850–$1990
Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience in a cardiac care setting
- Proficiency with TR Bands post-procedure, cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem), and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
- Active Kansas RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Nicotine-free workplace compliance
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips according to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Float to other acute care units as needed
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
- Participate in required holiday and weekend rotations
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
