Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Allen, Texas 75013 (Dallas metro area)
  
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (new 10-bed unit)
  
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
  
• Start Date: December 15, 2025
  
• End Date: March 15, 2026
  
• Duration: 13-week contract
  
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am); weekends and holidays as needed
  
• Hours per Week: 36
  
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:5
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,470 - $1,570
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in hospital Med/Surg Telemetry nursing, caring for post-op surgical and orthopedic patients
  
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-operative surgical and orthopedic patients in a telemetry unit
  
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and clinical progress
  
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments accurately
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  
• Educate patients and families on recovery, discharge planning, and ongoing care
  
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff
