Job Details:

• Work night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

• 19-bed medical-surgical unit with acuity-based patient ratios, maximum 1:5 for med-surg patients

• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical experience required, pediatric med-surg experience preferred

• Must be comfortable with orthopedic patients including total joints, post-operative care, and ski trauma

• Handle patients ages 0-100+ including post-op orthopedic, fractures, GYN surgical, chest tubes, surgical drains

• Required to titrate drips including Heparin and initiate pressors for critical patients

• Responsible for telemetry monitoring, rhythm recognition, and strip interpretation

• Must mix medications and manage high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, CPAP equipment

• Floating requirements as helping hands or safety attendant within unit

• Weekend and holiday requirements distributed equitably with core staff

• Call requirement: twice per contract

• Self-scheduling with core staff

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Epic EMR charting system

• Must provide written statement confirming housing research and availability

• 50-mile radius rule applies
