About the Role
As Inventory Lead, you’ll be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of inventory operations. You’ll work closely with warehouse, procurement, and planning teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on senior role with no direct reports—perfect for someone who thrives on influence without authority and enjoys coaching and collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead inventory management using WMS tools and methodologies
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all storage areas
- Conduct stocktakes and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve inventory processes
- Train team members on inventory procedures and system usage
- Document and standardize inventory workflows and best practices
- Support planning for seasonal or promotional volume changes
About you
- Proven experience in an inventory-focused role (industry agnostic)
- Experience in fast-moving, high-volume environments (FMCG experience a plus)
- Familiarity with LEAN principles; Green Belt certification highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to build rapport and influence without formal authority
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Real-world experience with inventory systems and data-driven decision-making
