Job Summary

 

Working as a Catering Beverage Manager for the Company will allow you the opportunity to work with GREAT people like yourself! You will be responsible for managing the beverage purchasing and inventory for the catering department in relation to all internal and external catering for the account, managing client relationships, and ensuring that the food and beverage service at the functions are of superior quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Experienced in ordering and managing liquor/beverage inventory.
  • Attention to detail, adhering to deadlines and ordering requirements.
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently.
  • Strong client service and hospitality skills.
  • Attention to details regarding service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Scheduling and supervising bar service staff.
  • Wine, beer and liquor knowledge.
  • Experience with bar menu development and beverage package pricing.
  • Experience with special events/banquet beverage service, including cash bars and consumption bars, for example.
  • Desire to stay on-top of current trends, and bring creative, new ideas to clients.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, and transport products between multiple locations.
  • Available to work nights and weekends.
  • Trains catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation and customer service
  • Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event
  • Works with the Chef in creating menus

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • AS degree preferred
  • Three to five years of foodservice management experience preferred
  • Catering experience is required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a large fast-paced kitchen
  • Excellent communication skills
