Inside Sales Development Specialist

Represents the company to external and internal customers, answers service related questions, interprets and clarifies customer study designs to place into contracts, develops pricing strategies for customer contracts and negotiates for maximum company revenue. Assists in developing strategies to grow current business as well as win new business. Provides valuable insight into forecasting the discovery and safety assessment services by business line, customer and facility. Ensures maximum capacity utilization by working with operations to identify studies and clients to prioritize.

We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative located at our site in Shrewsbury, MA.

• Responsible for supporting Field Sales Specialists through lead qualifications and lead prospecting in non-assigned territories. Attending conferences and Sales meetings.

• Support Field Sales Specialist through additional prospecting in those territories and generation of new leads and face-to-face meetings.
• Attending conferences and Sales meetings.
• Fulfil subject matter expertise role, working with marketing to assure design, development and implementation of marketing tools and programs that support company goals.
• As required, give an overview of assigned product line and services to internal and external contacts.  Share portfolio opportunities to appropriate account manager.
• As required gather data on marketing trend, and competitive products and pricing.
• Gather data on potential customers in designated geographic region.
• Build relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of company products and services.
• Communicate available products and services and inform customers of new products and services in a timely manner.
• Handle initial inquiries and qualify all prospective opportunities. Identify the drug development business model at these accounts and effectively communicate the value proposition of the company's products and services.
• Participate in Global Sales meetings as required. 
• Complete all required sales documentation in a timely manner.
• Develop and qualify leads through - customer contact and prospecting.  Communicate available CR product and services and inform customers of new products and services in a timely manner.
• Share customer problems/concerns with relevant departments for quality resolution.
• Attend trade shows routinely and aid in coordination of trades how events and or presentations.
• Maintain all communications within the CRM system with routine status reporting.
• Perform as organizational lead for CRM system monitoring and reporting.  Specifically, ensuring all proposals are followed up on in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain reports for tracking and reporting on Sales Initiatives within CRM and/or other tools.
• Assist Sales Specialists and Management with specific assigned customer projects as needed.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Education:  Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in business or related discipline. 
• Experience:  Five to eight years related experience.
